The training is arranged for the process or control engineer who is familiar with traditional control but has little or no experience in designing, installing, commissioning and maintaining advanced control applications. Each session is provided to allow the participants to quickly understand the technology and how it is applied. Application examples are used to show the requirements for addressing an application. Also, a section of each session is dedicated to a more in-depth discussion of the technology for readers who are interested in understanding the mathematical basis for the technology. The training provides comprehensive coverage of the major advanced control techniques that are most commonly used in the process industry. This includes tools for monitoring control system performance, on-demand and adaptive tuning techniques, model predictive control, LP optimization, data analytics for batch and continuous processes, fuzzy logic control, neural networks and advancements in PID for use with
wireless measurements. Since many engineers may work with an existing DCS that does not support advanced control, a session of the training is dedicated to tools and techniques that useful in integrating advanced control tools into an existing control system. Also, one session addresses how dynamic process simulations may be easily created in a DCS to support checkout and operator training on the use of advanced control.

Dr. Ade Haryanto, Ph.D. received the B.S. in Engineering Physics and M.S. degree in Instrumentation and Control from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in 2003 and 2006, respectively, and Doctor Degree (Dr.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Intelligent Control and Automation in 2010 and 2013, respectively, from School of Mechanical Engineering, Pusan National University, Busan, South Korea. His research focus is including modeling, identification, dynamics system, instrumentation and control of the power plant and its implementation using distributed control system. As a professional instructor, he has trained various topics in the scope of process control, automation, and metering systems, which were aimed to participants coming from industrial practitioners such as PT. Pupuk Kaltim, PT. Badak NGL, PT. Pertamina, PT. Indonesia Power, PT PLN, PT. Pupuk Iskandar Muda, etc. In the project implementation areas, the instructor also experience in project documentation, control system migration and
power plant design.
